Brooke holds a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She was drawn to the profession during her time working in long-term care where she witnessed the profound impact physiotherapy can have on individuals’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
She excels at getting to the root of each patient’s experience and crafting tailored treatment plans that fit seamlessly into their daily lives. By building strong relationships with her patients, Brooke ensures she understands their goals and what matters most to them.
During her spare time, Brooke enjoys going to the gym, reading romance novels and planning her next adventure!
Annie Zhao is a passionate and dedicated Registered Massage Therapist. She chose to pursue a career in Massage Therapy because she loves to help people find relief from their physical discomfort, reduce stress, and enhance their overall quality of life.
As a mom of two children, spending time with family is essential! She also values continuous learning and is committed to advancing herself in massage therapy techniques and holistic wellness.
After graduating from McMaster University in 2017 with a BSc in Biochemistry, Iman traveled over the border to pursue PT. In 2020, she graduated from Duke University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Iman then went on to live and work in the mountains of western North Carolina, practicing as a licensed PT in both orthopedics and pelvic health. After 4 years of living abroad, she returned home and has been treating her local population in the GTA since. Iman’s practice is centered around evidence-based care, with the core of her treatments including exercise, patient education, and manual therapy. Iman offers a collaborative and patient-centered approach to rehab with everyone she meets, and is passionate about reducing re-injury risk and improving quality of life through movement. Iman has additional certifications in strength and conditioning, which helps her bridge the gap between rehabilitation and return to sport. This also helps in guiding her female athletes to return to their activities, blending a mix of sports, orthopedics, and pelvic floor rehabilitation into one.
Iman likes to stay active through a combination of rock climbing, weight lifting, skiing, and hiking. When not treating, Iman is usually found playing with her cat or spending time with family and friends!
Yasmine completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and an undergraduate degree in Human Biology at the University of Toronto. During her Master’s program, she had the opportunity to connect with numerous pelvic health physiotherapists who shared their experiences with her. Their stories resonated deeply with her values as a clinician and ignited her passion for this specialized field.
Yasmine is fluent in French and Arabic.
Alison completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at McGill University and undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. During her clinical placement at Markham Pelvic Health, she developed a passion for pelvic floor physiotherapy.
She incorporates her experience with recreational athletes and geriatrics to provide holistic treatment plans focused on manual therapy and patient-specific exercise prescription.
Working with a wide range of populations has also allowed her to understand the important role of mental well-being in congruency with physical well-being. Growing up with patients working laborious jobs, she finds meaning in helping patients reach their functional goals and finding a treatment plan that integrates well with patients’ busy lives
Outside of work, Alison enjoys jogging, exploring restaurants and cooking for her big family so feel free to give recommendations or recipes!

Kate Fewer obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Plymouth, England, in 2008.
She is currently focusing much of her practice on Pelvic Health but also has a passion for treating sports injuries and repetitive strain work injuries.
Her focus extends to client education and equipping them with pragmatic tools for upholding their well-being. She firmly believes that maintaining an active, movement-oriented lifestyle is fundamental to overall health and wellness.
Kate finds joy in pursuits such as running, hiking, Pilates, yoga, city exploration on a bike, and travel.
Carrie received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Western University and Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. She has experience treating pre & post pregnancy conditions, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence and pelvic pain. She has a strong interest in helping postpartum women and clients with stress incontinence return to physical activity & sports.
Carrie is passionate about helping others achieve their goals by restoring autonomy and confidence. She enjoys working collaboratively with her clients by taking the time to understand their goals and creating an individualized action plan. Carrie incorporates education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercises while ensuring techniques align with client’s unique lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Carrie enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and trying out new baking recipes.

Jennifer obtained her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2009. Her passion for pelvic floor physiotherapy began after having children of her own.
As a physiotherapist, she believes that education is paramount in your journey and recovery. She also incorporates manual therapy techniques, acupuncture and therapeutic exercises to ensure you achieve your goals. She is committed to providing you with the highest quality of care and treating all patients with respect, dignity and compassion.
Jennifer has extensive experience in treating pelvic health conditions such as incontinence, urgency, prolapse, vaginismus/dyspareunia, bladder pain syndrome, constipation and pre/postnatal concerns. Jennifer currently treats females only.
Outside of the clinic, Jennifer’s 4 children keep her extremely busy! But when time permits, she loves trying out the newest restaurants in Toronto and exercising.
Kathy is exceptional at connecting with clients who appreciate clear and straightforward communication.
She is passionate about solving complex pelvic health cases and has effectively treated issues like pelvic organ prolapse, painful bladder syndrome, vaginismus/dyspareunia, and anal-rectal disorders such as pelvic floor dyssynergia.
Kathy is a Registered Physiotherapist in Ontario since 1996 and she is also a certified Pilates instructor. She is currently a teaching assistant for Pelvic Health Solutions, a company that trains Pelvic Health Physiotherapists.
She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and the Women’s Health division of CPA.
Her passion is to treat her clients holistically to improve their overall wellness. When not working, she will spend her time with her two vibrant kids playing tennis, biking, making robots and trying out new recipes.
Kathy is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin
Melissa Wong obtained her Masters of Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University in 2011 after graduating from the University of Waterloo’s Honours Co-op Kinesiology program in 2009. She has completed post-graduate training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation in both adult and pediatric populations, and treats women, men, and children for a variety of issues including incontinence and pelvic pain. She also has additional training in Acupuncture and regularly uses it as an adjunct to her treatment.
Melissa has over 15 years of experience in rehab and physiotherapy. In addition to pelvic health, her work experience includes outpatient orthopedics and pediatric physiotherapy (newborns to young adults).
Melissa is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), the CPA’s Orthopedic, Pediatric, and Women’s Health divisions, as well as a member of the International Children’s Continence Society.
Whether treating adults, adolescents, or children, Melissa is dedicated to delivering high quality patient care and education. Her professional, compassionate nature allows her to work collaboratively with her clients to ensure positive outcomes and empowerment.
When not in the clinic, Melissa enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
Her passion for fitness started over a decade ago after enrolling her son in Karate. Little did she know this sparked a life long passion for fitness and martial arts. This passion has fueled her to empower and coach those who seek to develop a stronger and more resilient version of themselves.
Candice is a Canfitpro Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist, Canfitpro Certified Personal Trainer, Postnatal Fitness Coach and Fitness Canada Kickboxing Instructor.
Thanika is a Client Care Coordinator here at Markham Pelvic Health. She is currently studying Kinesiology and Health Science hoping to pursue a career in the health rehabilitation field. In her spare time, she tutors first-year Kinesiology students. Some of her hobbies include listening to music, spending time with family and trying new foods (even tho she is a very picky eater!). Her favourite part about working at the clinic is the amazing clients and practitioners she gets to work with. She enjoys getting to know people and ensuring that clients have the best possible experience at the clinic.
