What it’s like to work with Mirusha

Mirusha brings a warm, expressive communication style that helps nervous patients feel more relaxed and at ease. She’s especially good at normalizing sensitive or uncomfortable topics, helping patients feel comfortable asking questions and opening up.

Her sessions are goal-oriented and supportive, with a strong focus on helping patients make meaningful progress. Mirusha uses a hands-on treatment approach that incorporates manual therapy, neuromuscular techniques, and clear step-by-step explanations so patients always understand what’s being worked on and why.

Why Pelvic Health?

Mirusha was drawn to physiotherapy by the impact it can have on helping people regain movement, confidence, and independence. She was especially drawn to pelvic health after noticing how difficult it can be for people to access pelvic care and how many struggle without support.

What she enjoys most about pelvic health is creating a space where patients feel heard, supported, and comfortable asking questions. She’s passionate about helping people better understand their bodies while breaking down the stigma surrounding pelvic health.

Best Fit for Clients

A great fit for parents and postpartum patients, those new to pelvic physiotherapy, or anyone who prefers a more relaxed and supportive pace to care. Patients often comment on how friendly and down-to-earth she is, helping even first visits feel comfortable and easy.

Education

Mirusha holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. She is committed to lifelong learning in pelvic health, having completed Level 1 training and continuing to advance her expertise to better support all patients, including men and individuals undergoing gender-affirming surgeries.

Outside the Clinic

Mirusha enjoys traveling to new places and going on hikes, where she loves taking in scenic views from the top alongside her friends and her beloved dog, Ziggy. Beyond exploring the outdoors, she also enjoys unwinding with a good romantic comedy.
